The format of HPTS 2007 will include presentations of position papers, panels
debating emerging directions, and sessions on application architectures, describing
how they were built and suggesting ways that systems infrastructure could
better support their development and management.
Those who wish to participate in the HPTS 2007 workshop may submit a short
summary (two paragraph), a position paper or an abstract on current work and
interests. A submission may present a viewpoint on a controversial topic,
a summary of lessons learned, experience with a large or unusual system, or
an innovative mechanism, architecture, product, application, or customer environment.
The submission process is purposely lightweight, but we require that each
submission be restricted to have a single author/presenter.
This is a by-invitation workshop not a conference. These submissions will
help the program committee select the participants, and will help set the
agenda for the workshop. Participants may be asked to be part of a presentation
or discussion session at the workshop.
Attendance is limited to about 75 participants. In an effort to keep the workshop
small and interactive, only one invitation can be extended per accepted paper.
Abstracts and position papers should be at most five pages, and should be
sent electronically in plain text by March 31, 2007 to the program
chair.
